I am thinking of buying the ECM Technika IV Profi. I have the Bodum Bistro coffee grinder (http://www.bodum.com/gb/en-us/shop/detail/10903-01UK). My question is, do you think it will do an adequate job as a coffee grinder to be used with this espresso machine or not? If not, which grinder do you recommend? Thanks!

The ECM Technika IV Profi is an outstanding machine that is very well built and makes excellent java.  However, to maximize its potential performance I would highly encourage upgrading your grinder from the Bodum Bistro to something with a bit more precision with regards to the coffee grind settings.  The key to a making a good espresso great is always going to start with the grinder first and the ECM will deliver a more coffee shop caliber coffee when paired with a good grinder.  I would suggest contacting our sales team to discuss some options that will work best for that machine and best for your particular needs too.  I hope this is helpful.

To add to Dan Moraldo's comments. There are many good grinders that can do the job. The lowest entry level doser/grinder of suitable quality is probably the Gaggia MDF, on sale right now for $224.00. http://www.wholelattelove.com/Gaggia/mdf.cfm This is the machine I have used for 4 years now. With a little practice it reliably produces excellent results. There are many good machine in prices above the Gaggia, and trying to pick will be difficult because so many of them are very good.
