How much heat does an E61 put out when the unit is on and how much power does it draw.  We only make coffee in the morning (and ococailly on weekends in the afternoon).  Does leaving this on literally heat the kitchen a little.  Does it radiate heat a lot?  Lastly does anyone know what the average power consumption is when resting.

The E-61 on this unit has built in heating elements which help regulate temperature and will produce heat, but the temperature of the E-61 is also going to partially depend on where the pressurestat for the boiler is set. The pressurestat controls boiler temperature and how much steam pressure is produced. In general the E-61 on this machine will be around 190-200 degrees depending on where the pressurestat is set to. The machine will radiate some heat, but you would have to be fairly close to it to feel the heat being radiated. The uses 1400W of power draw. Unfortunately I do not have information on average power consumption, but when the heating element is active, it will draw 1400W of power.

Yes, left on long enough it will add heat to a room, just as a refrigerator or oven will. How quickly depends on the size of the room.

As others have said, the machine will definitely heat a room.  However, I'm glad to look into the possibility of adding this to our comparison database for future (and popular current) products.
