Machine stopped working

I've had and enjoyed my Gaggia Espresso Pure for about a year now. All of a sudden, it just stopped working! The brew button doesn't do anything. No noise, nothing. The steam function still works. Any ideas what might be wrong?

I purchased the Gaggia Espresso Pure about 6 months ago and I love it. However, recently my coffee is not coming out well. Steam is coming out of the filter basket and coffee grounds comes out as well (probably from top of the filter basket) . What is going on? What can I do?
